Pumpkin Festival

(This post contains a lot of pictures! If you haven't checked our blog recently, you may need to click "Older Posts" at the very bottom of the page to see some of our recent posts.)

On Sunday, we went to the annual Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival. The boys had such a great time this year! They had been looking forward to going for quite a while. When we got to the farm, we tried to stop for a few pictures but the boys didn't want any part of it!

After a few tries, we moved on! The pony rides were what Ian and Brady had been looking forward to, so we did that first. The boys were so proud of themselves!

Hi Mom!

Next, we took a hayride to the pumpkin patch. Silly me, still thinking that I could get two 2-year-olds to pose together for a picture! We had one that refused to smile and one that gave the cheesiest face he could muster!
This year, the boys got a big kick out of rolling the pumpkins through the patch.

Taking a breather...rolling pumpkins is hard work!

When we got off the hayride at the top of the hill, the boys wanted to play on the antique tractors.

There has been a corn maze at the farm for several years now, and this year there was also a toddler maze with hay bales instead of corn.

Brady clapped for himself after he found his way out of the maze.

The boys went back into the maze and discovered that it was much more fun to jump off the hay bales than to go through the maze.

Landing in the hay was fun for Ian.

Next, we stopped to get some ice cream and listen to the live music.

The boys picked out a couple of pumpkins to take home.

On the way back to the van, we stopped at the petting zoo. Brady got very close to the animals this year - a little too close! After a turkey pecked at his finger, he decided to keep his distance.

We had a great time together at the farm. I was very excited to learn that Sinkland Farms will be open during December for some Christmas activities, so hopefully we'll be back soon!
