More Easter fun

Easter weekend was lots of fun. On Saturday morning, we went to the town's Easter Egg Hunt. Brady and Ian were in the 3-5 year age group. There were lots of other boys and girls!

Good thing there were so many eggs! Each child had a full bucket!

On Easter Sunday, we got to meet baby Rebekah (Leah's second-cousin). It was fun getting the girls together!

Ian and Brady had another egg hunt with Rebekah's brother, Peyton.

Coloring Easter Eggs

We have really enjoyed our tradition of coloring eggs as a family. The boys did a great job on their eggs this year and even made an egg for Leah.



This year, our kit came with stickers. Ian and Brady each chose an egg and were very serious about putting the right stickers in the right places!

What do you do when it's too cold to play outside?

This year we had a long, cold winter. Brady and Ian love being outdoors so much that they had a hard time being cooped up all winter. Here are some examples of things they did to entertain themselves.

One night they built a tower of Legos that went all the way to the ceiling (with some help from Daddy). They were so proud of themselves!

They got some "Cat in the Hat" hats that were left over from Dr. Seuss night at Nana's school.

Jeremy is really creative with finding ways to get the boys to help out with chores. He turned dusting into a game for them.

One day at lunch, Ian put his bib over his face and said he was a hospital man. This one really made me laugh because we had been reading "Curious George Goes to the Hospital". On one of the pages, a man in a surgical mask takes George away on a stretcher.

Another lookalike?

One morning when I was getting the boys some fruit, Brady pointed to the Sun Maid logo on the bag and said, "Mommy, she looks like you." I asked him why, thinking he'd tell me that we both have dark hair and light skin. Instead, he said, "Her hair is skinny." That's a new one!

Leah's 4-month checkup

Wow, the time has flown! Leah's 4-month checkup was Tuesday. She weighed in at 14 lbs 12 oz (63rd percentile) and was 25 1/4 inches (73rd percentile). She has already more than doubled her birth weight!

We're so glad that Leah is such a healthy, happy baby. We love her so much!

Catching up

It has been almost a month without a blog post. I have taken plenty of pictures, just haven't had the time to get them posted. Since going back to work at the end of March, I don't have much free time!

It was so nice to take 12 weeks off from work after having Leah, as I did when the boys were born. I was afraid that the transition back to work would be tough on all of us, but it actually went a lot more smoothly than I had anticipated. A few days before I went back, we gave Leah her first bottle, just to make sure there wouldn't be any problems. Both boys wanted to help feed Leah.

Leah takes one bottle each afternoon I'm working. We have a giant stockpile of her milk in the freezer, taking up a whole shelf!

Leah has done really well being at Nana's house in the afternoons. She loves her swing! The doll in this picture was mine when I was a baby.

Leah is such a happy baby!
