They like to share their flowers with everyone.
Nana made homemade lasagna for lunch on Sunday. The boys loved it and couldn't get enough! They got very messy but it was worth it!

Here's Ian going down the driveway on his digger!This picture was in the paper as an ad for "Bee Movie". Every time the boys see it they say "Mama". I don't know whether I should be flattered or not...
We went to the pediatrician's office this morning for the boys' 18-month checkup. Brady and Ian have now reached the point that they remember what goes on in the doctor's office, so we had a few tears when it was time for the shots. Really, the tears only happened before the shots and they did fine with the actual injections. Ian was so proud of the Band-Aid the nurse gave him!
Brady: 23 lbs 4 oz (20th percentile); 33 1/4 inches (75th percentile)
Ian: 24 lbs 8 oz (40th percentile); 34 inches (90th percentile)
So... we have two tall, skinny boys!

He did both of these by himself - completely unprovoked, methodical about where each object was placed, and did not stop until he was finished. Maybe we'll have another scientist or engineer - what do you think?
Last Thursday the boys got their hair cut downtown and since we were so close, we stopped by the flower shop to see Great-Uncle Bobby and Great-Uncle Herbert. The boys even got to meet their second-cousin Matt who was visiting from California. They got to eat some yummy home-grown squash, green beans, and tomatoes.
Mmmm!!
The boys never get tired of putting on Jeremy's hats. As long as they are VT hats, we're OK with it!

It has been so much fun to watch the boys learn new things. Right now it seems like they're doing something new each day. They can say several words right now:
People: Mama, Dada, Nana, Granddad (comes out sounding like "Dada"), and Pop
Animals: cat, dog, duck
Hellos and goodbyes: hi, bye-bye, night-night
Other words: hot, more
They can now make some new animal noises - a cat, sheep, owl, and even a turkey.
They still love books.
(They love to chew on some of them - we're trying to break that habit.)
They have several favorites. This is one of their favorites at home:

The boys are really comprehending a lot of things they see in books. When they see musical instruments or music notes they dance. When they see a fire, a grill, or anything of that nature they say "hot". When they see a bed they say "night-night". They love to point to pictures in the books so that we'll say the names of objects and explain what they do. One of their books has a picture of a hand puppet. Their Nana explained that it goes on your hand. Ian pointed to his hand and said "Dat?!?!"
