Brady's Christmas spirit
Here's a conversation I had with Brady one morning at breakfast:
Brady: (closing his fist) I have something in my hand.
Me: What is it?
Brady: (opening his fist to reveal his empty hand) Money.
Me: What are you going to do with it?
Brady: Give it to some people.
Me: What are they going to buy with the money?
Brady: Groceries.

Around the house
Here are some very belated pictures from our house. One morning the boys put a lot of their toys on the sofa and told Jeremy and I that it was their garbage truck. They put socks on their hands for their "gloves" and put Elmo on the arm of the sofa to drive the truck.
They got in the truck and waited to get off at the next stop to get more garbage.
Uh-oh! They lost some of the garbage!
We got another new game - Hungry Hungry Hippos. (This was supposed to be a Christmas present but we couldn't wait that long!) The boys really enjoy playing this game and they ask for it a few times each week.

Happy Birthday Granddad!
A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated Granddad's birthday with dinner at Outback. We went back to Nana and Granddad's house for presents, cake, and ice cream. Of course, any time someone gets a present or a card, Brady and Ian have to help open it.
Brady liked the fact that his cake and ice cream were on a tiger plate.
Ian is very serious about his dessert (he gets that from his Mommy). He never lets a bite of dessert go to waste.
These boys love their Granddad!

A glimpse of our baby girl
We finally got to take another peek at our little girl this afternoon! She cooperated for the camera and we got a great look at her face. It looks like she has sweet little chubby cheeks, just like her brothers. 2 months to go, and we'll see her in person!

Trick or Treat!
This year was the first year that Brady and Ian had the same Halloween costumes, but they didn't care one bit because they loved their costumes! They love fire trucks and they're always pretending to be puppy dogs, so it was only fitting to dress them up as dalmatians this year. When we tried their costumes on a few weeks ago, they did not want to take them off! They were so excited to finally get to wear them on Halloween.
We stopped by Nana and Granddad's house first:
Next we went to see Uncle Herbert and Uncle Don:
This was the first year that we trick-or-treated in our neighborhood. We just went to a few houses close to ours. The boys didn't want to go home - they thought it was great to walk up to peoples' doors and get candy! At one house across the street, a teenage boy was dressed as a knight (complete with a helmet and sword) and was passing out candy on the doorstep. Ian said, "The knight might hurt us." We explained that he was a friendly knight, he was just our neighbor wearing a costume, etc. We started to walk up the sidewalk and Ian stopped in his tracks, started crying, and wouldn't go any farther. The boy's dad wound up bringing some candy to Ian and Brady!
Since then, any time we ask the boys if they had fun trick-or-treating, Ian will say "I didn't like the knight."
Just like last year, Brady and Ian have wanted to wear their costumes around the house each day. I tried to get some pictures of the two of them together - I don't know why I keep trying to pose them for photos - it just doesn't work!
Here's Brady showing me his paws.
Ian had to make some adjustments to Brady's costume.
This is what happens when I ask them to smile:
At least one of them is smiling in this picture!
Here's a video of them having fun at home yesterday in their costumes. Ian kept chasing Brady in circles and saying he was going to get Brady's tail.
