Farm Day

We had a big day yesterday! We drove to Rocky Mount, VA for Homestead Creamery's Farm Day. On the way we stopped to buy new tennis shoes for the boys (unsuccessful) and furniture for the nursery (successful). By the time we got to the farm, we were very hungry but had to stop at a tractor for some pictures.

The boys got to climb up in the tractor, and they loved it!

After lunch - a very quick lunch because the boys wanted to go see everything - we stopped to see some animals.
Ian got a kick out of feeding this hen some blades of grass.
Brady and Ian got to pet a couple of the calves.
They learned how to milk a cow. Brady didn't want to try...
...but Ian gave it a shot.
We rode a hayride. It was a very long, bumpy hayride - probably not the best for someone who is 6 months pregnant - but the boys loved it.
We saw apple butter being made.
Here's Brady waiting patiently for his turn to climb up in another tractor. The way he's folding his arms is priceless!
The boys up in the tractor!
It wouldn't be a visit to the creamery without some ice cream!
On the way back to the van, the boys spotted some pumpkins and wanted to sit on them.

We had a fun day and all of us slept very well last night!
