Well, folks...

...looks like we have another thumb sucker on our hands. This has been going on for a couple of days now. (The noise in the video is the swing, not Leah!)



We've been trying to encourage her to use the paci instead. Last night she actually spit out her paci multiple times and stuck her thumb right back in her mouth.

Birthday Party

About 3 weeks ago, some of my Mom's extended family got together for a surprise birthday party for my great-uncle Paul. We saw some family that we hadn't seen in years. Brady and Ian got to meet some cousins they had never met. These are some of their third cousins!

This is my great-Aunt Christine holding Leah. Leah slept through most of the party!

The church has a really nice playground and the boys had a great time outside with another cousin, Thomas, who is also 3 years old.



They just couldn't get enough of the slides! This slide made a lot of static in Brady's hair!

Cookies!

I know I've mentioned this before, but Ian and Brady truly enjoy helping out in the kitchen. It can be something as simple as putting pepper into the scrambled eggs or something more complicated like baking a cake from scratch - they love it all. One day we baked some cookies because Pop and Granny were coming up for a visit. We started before breakfast, and the boys helped me mix up the dough.

The dough had to chill for a while, so we ate breakfast and the boys got dressed. While the cookies were baking, we mixed up the glaze. Ian added the jam...

... and Brady stirred.
The boys love to admire the finished product! Of course, they love to eat the finished product too!
