Mill Mountain Zoo

We took the boys to Mill Mountain Zoo on Sunday. It's a very small zoo but it turned out to be just the right size for Brady and Ian. As soon as we walked through the gate, they ran straight for the animals.

Here's a clip of the boys petting the goats. Ian was a little overzealous, as you'll see!
I think this tiger sculpture may have been their favorite part of the zoo.
Ian had to stop and sniff the flowers.
This was the cage for the pythons (the light-colored one is an Albino Burmese Python).
This is the view of Roanoke from the top of Mill Mountain.
This one is hard to see, but it's a snow leopard taking a nap. When the boys saw it laying down they said "night-night".

This is a Japanese Macaque (Snow Monkey).

Once again, I think they liked the sculptures more than the animals themselves!
We rode the "Zoo Choo", which is a miniature train that goes around the perimeter of the zoo. The boys were so excited about riding the train (Ian cried when we had to wait in line). Here, he was waving at me from his seat with Jeremy.
After our time at the zoo we stopped at Carrabba's (my favorite!) for a yummy dinner. We were very tired from our busy weekend, and all of us went to bed early!
