Clifford comes to town

We went to Barnes and Noble to meet Clifford the Big Red Dog on Saturday. We had been excited about this for weeks, since Clifford is one of the boys' favorite characters. We have several books and the boys get to watch the Clifford TV show a couple of times a week. The boys don't watch much TV so this is a special treat for them. In the few days leading up to meeting Clifford, Ian and Brady kept asking me if Emily Elizabeth (the little girl who Clifford belongs to in the storybooks) was going to be there too. When Clifford made his appearance, Ian ran right up to give him a hug.

The boys listened intently during story time. They got to hear a Clifford book that they'd never read before.
All the boys and girls got a chance to hug Clifford after the story.
Ian gave Clifford a high five.
The boys love the Clifford stories so much that they've been referring to each other as "Ian Clifford" and "Brady Mac" (Mac is one of Clifford's buddies in the stories) for weeks now. One afternoon this week Ian woke up from his nap but Brady was still sleeping. My Mom overheard Ian saying "Let's wake up now, Mac"!
