A day of doctor visits

We had a couple of doctor visits today. Ian went to the pediatrician this morning to have the staple removed from his head. He didn't cry when the staple came out. The doctor let him see the staple. He looked at it and said, "It's little." Ironically, he cried and cried about having to stand on the scales to be weighed. His head is healing up nicely and should be completely better soon.

This afternoon I had my 23-week checkup with the OB. This appointment was probably the most simple one so far - no ultrasound, no blood draw. (I have to get my blood drawn almost every time to monitor my hypothyroidism.) The baby's heartbeat was nice and strong and she had the hiccups while we were listening. The next appointment (27 weeks) will be the dreaded glucose tolerance test - YUCK!

Brady and Ian have now felt the baby kick several times. They get really excited when I tell them that she's moving around, and both of them will run over and put their hands on my belly. Yesterday, Brady said, "She kicked my hand!" and Ian said "She probably wants out of there!"
