Smart boys

It has been so much fun to watch the boys learn new things. Right now it seems like they're doing something new each day. They can say several words right now:

People: Mama, Dada, Nana, Granddad (comes out sounding like "Dada"), and Pop

Animals: cat, dog, duck

Hellos and goodbyes: hi, bye-bye, night-night

Other words: hot, more

They can now make some new animal noises - a cat, sheep, owl, and even a turkey.

They still love books.
(They love to chew on some of them - we're trying to break that habit.)
They have several favorites. This is one of their favorites at home:

On this page they point to the ice cream cone and say "Mmmm!"
Some of the illustrations in the book are a little silly, but I think this one is downright weird:
Jeremy thinks this one is ridiculous:
The boys are really comprehending a lot of things they see in books. When they see musical instruments or music notes they dance. When they see a fire, a grill, or anything of that nature they say "hot". When they see a bed they say "night-night". They love to point to pictures in the books so that we'll say the names of objects and explain what they do. One of their books has a picture of a hand puppet. Their Nana explained that it goes on your hand. Ian pointed to his hand and said "Dat?!?!"

They are doing very well at working their puzzles. This is one of their puzzles, and they can match up the pieces to the correct animals. If you look closely you'll see which piece Ian likes the best!
