Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter!

Brady and Ian woke up to find that their Easter baskets had been filled with lots of goodies. They got books, Thomas the Tank Engine pajamas, water sandals for our beach trip, and a little bit of candy.
They had to examine all of their new books!

We went to church and then headed over to Nana and Granddad's house, where the boys had new tricycles!
Right now the handles are on the back so that the boys can be steered/pushed. When they get the hang of pedaling, the handles can be removed.
The boys had their first Easter egg hunt in the front yard! They knew exactly what to do and found all of the eggs much more quickly than we imagined.

When we came back inside, the boys wanted to put their eggs in the baskets on their trikes.
We had a yummy traditional Easter lunch with ham, green beans, deviled eggs, and sweet potato casserole. My mom used to make a bunny cake each year when my brother and I were growing up, so I wanted to make the boys their first bunny cake. After lunch, the boys opened their Easter baskets from Nana and Granddad.
We decided to hide the eggs again in the back yard so the boys could find them one more time.
Brady and Ian love to go in between the big trees at the edge of the yard. They call this area their house. They will even move a branch back and forth and say that they're opening and closing the door.
Of course, all of the eggs got dumped out of the pails - after all, they are little boys!

I think Ian picked most of Nana's daffodils!

The boys took a long nap then we ended the evening at Cracker Barrel.
